Memento Mori
XXIV
Though much is revealed, the journey goes on. No finite end-point in transformation’s art— each day remains a canvas till life’s last dawn.
Though much is revealed, the journey goes on. No finite end-point in transformation’s art- each day remains a canvas till life’s last dawn.
Enlightenment is not a finish, but part of an ever-deepening spiral dance. There are always new layers of self to depart.
The universe within offers endless expanse; even as you master one lesson of being, another subtle ego may rise in trance.
So you stay vigilant, humbly seeing that the practice remains your north star. Pride itself can creep back in, disagreeing
with humility-so kill that pride in war by nightly surrender, no exceptions made. No day is so holy that you forgo spar
with the self. The path of growth does not fade. In fact, with wisdom, your responsibility to die and be reborn each day is weighed
even greater-for you sense the nobility of this ritual is to keep you true. Complacency you guard against actively.
For the world still tests with challenges new; anger or envy can still find a door. The difference now: you see them pass through
like transient clouds, and you calm restore through the practice ingrained in bone and breath. But you never assume the work is no more.
Each morning is greeted as gift to fresh apply the art of living deliberately. Each evening you bow, in gratitude enmeshed,
ready to release the day temporally. Mystery remains-you do not know all that lies beyond final mortality.
Perhaps even greater cycles enthrall beyond this life, further deaths and rebirths in worlds unseen, where new journeys call.
But that speculation humbly subverts to the now: your concern is today alone. Die this day well, whatever it exerts.
You accept that you’ll never be fully grown, for evolution’s ladder has no top rung; there are always further heights to be shown.
This thought does not weary you, instead strung with excitement that growth is infinite. Each day’s a miracle to keep spirit young.
Thus you commit anew, in full faith lit, to continue dying daily, come what may- ever a student of life’s holy writ.
