What is the fruit of this daily demise? It is a life radiantly alive and kind. In dying each day, you come to realize

the boundless love that underlies the mind. Freed from fear, your heart opens like a rose, petals of compassion to all mankind.

Unburdened by yesterday, your spirit flows in spontaneity, childlike and clear. Delight in existence through your being glows.

Each moment tastes richer, joy more sincere, because nothing is taken for granted or slight. The simplest of pleasures become most dear.

You laugh more easily, you sleep at night with conscience clear and soul at rest. Your presence is healing, gentle and bright.

Others feel safe near one so blessed, sensing you judge no one by their past, for you live in the now where all is fresh.

Your capacity to forgive is vast; you hold no grudges, harbor no hate. By each sunset, all strife is released, surpassed.

Thus your relationships flourish and elate. Loved ones find in you a constant support, for you listen deeply and never berate.

You learn more swiftly, with flexible thought, for the rigid preconceptions in you have died. Curiosity and wonder each morn are brought.

Creative inspiration springs from inside, since the old ruts of thinking are cleared. New ideas and insights in your mind abide.

Facing change, you remain composed, endeared rather than anxious-change is your element. Like wind and water, you shift, persevered.

Through daily self-death, inner conflict is spent; your many selves reconciled into one whole. Integrity shines from your alignment.

Gratitude floods constantly through your soul; every sunrise is grace, every meal a gift. You marvel at life, at how days unroll.

And underlying all, like a golden weft, is love-love for existence, love for all beings. The false self was dying, and love was what’s left.

This love connects you to everything, seeing the divine spark in each creature’s eyes. In loving them, you fulfill your own being.

No longer afraid, your spirit can rise to its highest calling, unchained from gloom. All this is the fruit of daily goodbyes.

Thus the universe within you finds room to reflect the All in harmony true. Your life becomes music instead of mere noise.

Gentle and fearless, wise and ever-new, you walk this earth as a living prayer, in tune with the stars and the morning dew.
