Inner Virtue

Gratitude

A short Ma’at meditation on gratitude, truth, and the discipline of right living.

Meditation LXIV 1 minute read 107 words

Let gratitude be your daily ritual.
At sunrise, give thanks for the light; at night, give thanks for rest.
The grateful heart turns even modest possessions into abundant blessings.
Do not focus on what is missing – cherish what is present.
Complaints furrow the face and invite bitterness to take root.
One who counts their blessings finds joy multiplied.
Thankfulness is wine for the soul: drink it and see the world shine.
Even in hardship, find one thing to be thankful for; that spark will light your way out of darkness.
A grateful heart stays in balance with Ma’at.
