Inner Virtue

Solitude

A short Ma’at meditation on solitude, truth, and the discipline of right living.

Meditation LXV 1 minute read 90 words

Set counsel in the shrine within.
In quiet, the heart speaks.
Do not fear the lone hour.
The desert at dusk teaches the willing.

When a storm of words rises,
make a mooring post of your tongue.
Sleep on your speech.
Wind-swift talk passes. Truth remains.

Stand as the heron in still water.
Let clarity gather like stars.
Weigh your deeds and desires on the scale.
In the hush, Ma’at steps from the clamor.
Rise renewed, the heart set straight.
