Confession
A short Ma’at meditation on confession, truth, and the discipline of right living.
To admit a fault is the first step to healing.
Even the righteous heart errs at times.
Do not persist in a lie to save face – hidden rot only spreads unseen.
Stand before your own heart and speak the truth of your deeds.
Ask forgiveness where you have harmed, and make right what you can.
The gods know we are not perfect; they value the sincere, not the falsely perfect.
In the Hall of Truth, better to have stumbled and confessed
than to wear a mask of virtue over a corrupted heart.
