Subconscious Mind Wealth
The Force and Functions of the Subconscious Mind
“A great and sacred spirit talks indeed within us, but cleaves to its divine original.” – Seneca

Every second, your brain is taking in millions of bits of data through your physical senses. Moment by moment, enough data to crash a supercomputer is rushing into your brain. Your subconscious brain is processing all this data and creating useful information and a unique view of ‘reality’ for the conscious mind. The brain is making decisions as to what is important right now and what can be safely ignored for now, but stored for later.
This continuous data processing is occurring mostly outside your conscious awareness, but all within your brain. The information you get about the world around you is based on data that the subconscious mind filtered 0.15 seconds earlier. This background or what we have called ‘subconscious’ activity accounts for 95% to 99% of your mental activity when you are awake. Think about that… up to 99% of the processes being run by your brain whilst you are awake, are outside of your conscious awareness. More than 95% of the mental activity in your brain as you consciously read this sentence, is being used by your subconscious mind.
“The human brain produces in 30 seconds as much data as the Hubble Space Telescope has produced in its lifetime.” - Neuroscientist Konrad Kording, Northwestern University
The conscious mind is the very narrow area that is your current focus and includes most of what Austrian Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud called the ego. The conscious mind is the mind that reflects on these words as you read them but can only process about 5 to 9 chunks of information at a time. Some psychologists go even further, and suggest that because the conscious mind has to process information sequentially, even thinking of more than one item at a time is like trying to rub your belly whilst patting your head - it is very difficult… unless you practice.: - )
The subconscious mind, refers to all mental activity that is occurring below the point of awareness and at any moment, can process more than 2000 times more information than the conscious mind. The subconscious determines what stimuli the conscious mind should focus on - it controls our attention. If a stimulus in the environment is novel enough, threatening enough or has the potential to benefit us, the subconscious alerts the conscious mind to focus on it.
Subconscious Is King
“Both poverty and riches are the offspring of thought.” - Napoleon Hill
The subconscious mind plays a critical role in determining which matters are relayed to the conscious mind, a process facilitated by a part of the brain called the thalamus. Our perception of reality and decision - making may be somewhat illusory. When we feel as though we are making a decision, we are indeed doing so, but our choices are derived from a preselected list compiled by the subconscious mind, which is then transmitted from the thalamus to the prefrontal cortex. This entire process takes less than 0.15 seconds, and numerous experiments have highlighted its occurrence.
Professor John Dylan Haynes, a neuroscientist at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience in Berlin, conducted a pivotal experiment demonstrating that the subconscious mind often makes decisions before the conscious mind is informed. Utilizing functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to observe subjects making basic ‘A or B’ choices, researchers found that they could predict which option the subject would choose up to 10 seconds before the subject became consciously aware of their decision. Professor Haynes was able to predict the person’s decision with over 90% accuracy prior to the individual’s conscious awareness of having made a decision. Haynes explains:
“We found that the outcome of a decision can be encoded in brain activity of prefrontal and parietal cortex up to 10s before it enters awareness. This delay presumably reflects the operation of a network of high - level control areas that begin to prepare an upcoming decision long before it enters awareness.”
Thus, Professor Haynes’ conscious mind knows the decision before the subject’s consciousness, because the subject’s subconscious mind has already made a decision, which can then be observed on a brain scan. The conscious mind, including our own, is secondary to the subconscious.
“One of the unfortunate things about our education system is that we do not teach students how to avail themselves of their subconscious capabilities.” - Bill Lear
The cerebral cortex consumes vast amounts of the body’s energy - nearly 20% of the glucose and oxygen in the blood. To conserve energy, the prefrontal cortex does not expend resources to uncover the origins of ideas. Consequently, the conscious mind feels in control, even though the subconscious mind may have already made decisions well in advance. The subconscious mind is unconcerned with which part of the brain receives credit for decisions; its primary focus is ensuring the body’s survival and the propagation of our genes. Creating substantial wealth requires bridging the gap between our conscious and subconscious minds. Accessing your subconscious means accessing your ‘richest self.’ Tapping into the fullness of your mind unlocks your potential, leading to financial awakening and approaching monetary enlightenment. Becoming in touch with your richest self is a crucial step toward self - completion, achievable only by connecting all parts of the mind.
“Thought is the only power which can produce tangible riches…” - Wallace D. Wattles
The subconscious mind actively operates behind the scenes, selecting activities that will bring you closer to the financial reality most consistent with your deeper self - concept. To achieve wealth, you must engage in the powerful task of shifting your subconscious. Once the subconscious is aware of the precise amount of wealth you desire, it will guide you in the right direction, focusing your conscious mind on the most critical aspects of your goals in this complex world. The subconscious mind is the driving force behind your entire life, guiding you toward abundant wealth. It shields or reveals numerous financial opportunities based on what it deems a consistent reality for you. For instance, if you are searching for a higher - paying job and believe you can excel in any environment, the subconscious mind will show you a path to obtain that higher - income position, or guide you toward improving your skills and subsequently obtaining a better job. Conversely, if you believe you cannot adapt to most work environments, the subconscious will narrow your focus to a few less lucrative jobs that align with your ingrained belief system and past experiences. In this case, the subconscious guides you on a path of mediocrity.
The subconscious mind is responsible for shaping our reality. The secret is that the conscious mind is not in control; the seat of power lies with the subconscious. In the later chapters of this book, we will discuss 21 methods to tap into your subconscious and shift your subconscious beliefs towards paradigms that will enhance your ability to create wealth. By understanding and harnessing the power of your subconscious mind, you can unlock your full potential and embark on a transformative journey toward achieving your financial goals.
The subconscious mind creates our reality. The Secret in this reality, is that the conscious mind is not in the driver’s seat. The seat of control lies with the subconscious. Later in this book we shall discuss the 21 methods to jack into the subconscious and shift your subconscious beliefs to paradigms that will serve your ability to create wealth.
“The rich mentality fears nothing, and he is free from the burden and care that the world groans under. He is not under the law of wear and tear and exhaustion, because the rich subconsciousness of him causes him to know that his good is inexhaustible.” - Harriet Hale Rix
Dreams and Reality
As we enter REM sleep and begin to dream, we find ourselves immersed in a world entirely crafted by our subconscious mind. This realm is shaped by our experiences from the day, week, and throughout our lives. Night after night, our subconscious mind deceives us into perceiving our dreams as reality. It’s remarkable to consider that the same subconscious mind accounts for over 95% of our brain’s processing power when we are awake. This begs the question: is our waking reality an illusion, too?
The subconscious mind, the same one that creates our dreamscapes, is constantly active while we’re awake, directing our focus and determining what we pay attention to or ignore. So, is it possible that our subconscious mind is constructing the world our conscious mind perceives? If so, could we be dreaming even now?
I propose that our waking reality is indeed an illusion. Once we comprehend the mechanics of this illusion, we gain the power to alter our financial circumstances and manifest abundance. You may have experimented with lucid dreaming, but now imagine the excitement of unlocking the secrets of lucid living. The key lies in mastering the art of planting ideas in the subconscious, and deceiving it with an altered perception of reality - just as it has deceived us our entire lives. By using our conscious mind to implant powerful ideas into the subconscious, we can create a cycle that moves mountains.
From a Biblical perspective: “And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘Remove hence to yonder place;’ and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.” - Matthew 17:20
In the journey of manifesting wealth, faith must exist in both the conscious and subconscious mind. The conscious mind influences the subconscious, which in turn influences the conscious:
Conscious - - > Subconscious - - > Conscious
This does not imply that our world is simply a more tangible version of a dream or that we will ever awaken from this ‘dream’ without experiencing death. Instead, it suggests that the subconscious mind is incredibly powerful. By connecting with it and gaining the ability to modify the beliefs within it, we can attain immense control over our financial reality. In effect, our world could be akin to a higher - level dream shaped by our will.
We may have spent most of our lives believing that our nighttime dreams were inconsequential, mere byproducts of our true waking reality. However, the proposal here is that the reverse is true - what we program into our subconscious mind actively shapes our world when we are awake. In essence, the subconscious experience is what truly matters. The dream mind is, in fact, more powerful than the conscious mind.
It is crucial to understand that the conscious mind can influence the dream mind. By consciously focusing on the behaviors, attitudes, habits, and prosperous lifestyle we desire, and infusing these ideas with emotion, we can embed them into our subconscious. Once implanted, the subconscious will guide us along the path to achieving our financial goals.
The Subconscious Is Listening
Every day, our subconscious mind is shaped by the emotions we experience in response to various events. These emotions embed ideas into our subconscious, influencing our future actions and experiences. To effectively program our subconscious, we must attach strong positive emotions to the events we wish to manifest in our lives. In essence, cultivate an amplified sense of love, joy, and gratitude for the activities, events, and circumstances you desire to see repeated, while minimizing emotional responses to undesirable experiences. By focusing on these emotions, we set the stage for expansion and growth.
When witnessing another person’s financial success, celebrate their achievements. Rejoicing in their prosperity plants the idea in your subconscious that wealth is a positive outcome. Embrace the thought that “wealth is good” to counteract any past negative associations you may have about money. This mindset is crucial for establishing a new mental paradigm that fosters wealth creation.
While it’s important to help the less fortunate, avoid internalizing their struggles or adopting their limiting beliefs. Offer assistance, but maintain a certain emotional distance to prevent the contagion of negative thinking. Your exposure to non - wealth creators can impact your financial potential, so it’s wise to limit these interactions.
The most effective way to help others is by cultivating an abundance mindset and becoming a shining example of how rich thinking can transform one’s financial reality. So, help the poor by embracing your best self and demonstrating the power of a wealth - conscious mindset.
The Percentages
In the pursuit of wealth, it’s important to understand that 95% of your behavior stems from the subconscious mind, while a mere 5% arises from the conscious mind. This means that your conscious desires, wishes, and hopes only account for a small fraction of your daily actions unless you tap into your subconscious mind. Attempting to rely solely on willpower to save, seek investment opportunities, read financial literature, and maintain a positive mindset can be exhausting and ineffective. Instead, leveraging the subconscious mind can facilitate a state of flow, where your conscious mind stops forcing outcomes and allows a more powerful force to guide you towards your goals.
The programming within our subconscious minds is largely influenced by our upbringing, as well as the beliefs instilled in us by our parents, friends, society, and environment. This programming may be beneficial or limiting, but the good news is that you have the power to reprogram your mind through methods like auto - suggestion and self - hypnosis. By embedding wealth - creating thoughts into your subconscious mind, you can efficiently and effortlessly develop habits that will benefit you in the long run.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The good news is that the moment you decide that what you know is more important than what you have been taught to believe, you will have shifted gears in your quest for abundance. Success comes from within, not from without.”
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, we continuously plant ideas in our subconscious minds through our conscious thoughts, beliefs, decisions, fears, and affirmations. It’s crucial to keep your conscious focus on abundance rather than scarcity, as this will direct your subconscious mind to align your actions with your goals. Instead of dwelling on debt, concentrate on wealth creation and increasing your income. Visualize yourself as wealthy and embrace the idea of possessing great wealth.
Consider yourself akin to a computer, capable of easily upgrading your programs and software. The key to making these upgrades lies in the subconscious mind. While it’s possible to change habits and behaviors through conscious motivation, it is a laborious process. By implanting ideas in your subconscious, you can effortlessly shift your motivations and drives to align with your goals. In fact, it would require more effort to resist the changes embedded in your subconscious mind.
People born into success or wealth are more likely to naturally think positively, increasing the likelihood that they will replicate success as they grow older. Conversely, those born into poverty may experience the opposite effect. This highlights the importance of continually updating and upgrading our mental programming.
Inception Required
In Subconscious Mind Wealth, you are tasked with the critical responsibility of mastering the art of implanting wealth - creating ideas into your own subconscious. By doing so, you acquire the power to transform your behavior, tap into boundless information, and exponentially enhance your capacity to reshape your financial reality. The game of life unfolds within the subconscious, which serves as both the battleground and the scriptwriter of your entire life story. To alter your financial reality, you must first change your subconscious thoughts.
“In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction…” - Job 33:15 - 16
We are all summoned to partake in the act of idea inception. This concept of the ‘beginning’ or ‘origin’ of an idea can be better understood by reflecting on the 2010 science fiction thriller, Inception, written and directed by the illustrious Christopher Nolan. In the film, the protagonist faces the arduous task of implanting an idea in the subconscious mind of an unsuspecting target. Analogously, the core of life’s strategy revolves around this idea inception - with your own subconscious as the subject. Within your mind, you must sow seeds of prosperity and abundance, nurturing them with consistency until they mature and flourish autonomously, like a virus. This contagious sense of potential spreads throughout every neuron, reaching far and wide.
“The conscious mind may be compared to a fountain playing in the sun and falling back into the great subterranean pool of subconscious from which it rises.” - Sigmund Freud
How to Tap into The Subconscious
The more frequently you consciously access the link between your conscious and subconscious mind, the stronger this connection becomes. The activities we will outline require practice, but remember that accessing the subconscious mind is a life skill you’ll use until your final day. Embrace these activities and work to incorporate them all in one form or another. Strengthening the connection between your conscious and subconscious minds is the most important work you can do to ensure your achievement of prosperity.
When we are born, we utilize close to 100% of our brain’s potential because our conscious evaluation of everything is minimal. This capacity enables children to learn rapidly, including acquiring multiple languages, learning to walk and socialize, and mastering countless other skills within just a few years. However, as we surpass the ages of 5 or 6, we begin relying more heavily on our conscious mind. This shift reduces our connection with the subconscious and leads us to depend increasingly on the structured, formal processes of the conscious mind, which are essential for success in academia. As a result, much of our childhood creativity and imagination is lost as we adapt to the structure and formality of school and, later, work. Re - establishing and enhancing the link between these two minds is crucial for achieving your goals. In fact, without strengthening this connection, your chances of success are slim.
In this section, we will explore 21 methods for increasing your access to the subconscious mind. Each method ultimately leads you to a mental dream state where the inception of ideas, paradigms, and new behaviors is possible. These 21 methods guide you to a point of elevated consciousness, either immediately or, more commonly, through repetition over time. Before applying these methods, remember that your primary objective is to align your conscious and subconscious thoughts with your intended goals. Your focus should be on connecting with your subconscious mind regularly, then directly communicating your desires and asking the subconscious mind how to achieve them. The conscious mind sets the goal (e.g., make a million dollars in one year), and the subconscious mind reveals the means (e.g., start your own business buying and selling XYZ product). Both your conscious and subconscious minds must ultimately agree for you to achieve prosperity. We will first list the methods, and then provide guidance on each one individually.
