Inner Virtue

Responsibility

A short Ma’at meditation on responsibility, truth, and the discipline of right living.

Meditation LXI 1 minute read 109 words

When things go wrong, the fool blames others, but the wise first examines themselves.
Take responsibility for your actions and their consequences.
If you have erred, admit it quickly and strive to mend the harm.
Blame is easy and solves nothing.
By owning your part in a problem, you gain the power to fix it.
Life hands you circumstances, but how you meet them is your choice.
Do not shirk duty or shift guilt.
Stand upright in both success and failure.
The load on your shoulders lightens when carried with honesty.
Ma’at supports those who stand accountable under its gaze.
