The Crowd

A short Ma’at meditation on the crowd, truth, and the discipline of right living.

Meditation LI 1 minute read 106 words

Do not simply follow the crowd; the path of the many is not always right.
Think for yourself and stand by justice, even if you stand alone.
Many hands can lift a load, but many voices can lead astray.
The jackal pack may howl at the moon, but their noise does not change its course.
Popularity is not the same as goodness.
Let principle guide you above popularity.
If others mock the truth, hold the truth tighter still.
Often the path of Ma’at is a narrow trail in the wilderness – firm beneath the feet, though few find it.
