Integrity

A short Ma’at meditation on integrity, truth, and the discipline of right living.

Meditation XXXV 1 minute read 92 words

Be the same person in darkness as you are in light.
Let integrity be a straight rod that does not bend in the wind.
If offered a bribe, reject it as you would a cup of poison.
Ill-gotten gains turn to dust, while a clean conscience is a soft pillow.
Speak truth even when it costs you, and do right even when none see.
The true judge of your deeds is the heart within.
Keep your integrity, and your heart will rest easy under the stars.
