Change

A short Ma’at meditation on change, truth, and the discipline of right living.

Meditation XXXII 1 minute read 106 words

No state is eternal under the sun.
Day turns to night, winter to spring, each in its season.
Rejoice not overmuch in good fortune, nor despair too deeply in misfortune.
The wheel of life turns, raising some up and bringing others low.
If today you are strong, use your strength kindly, for tomorrow you may need kindness.
If today you mourn, keep hope in your heart, for joy will find you again.
Nothing is permanent except Ma’at itself – the order that brings change into meaning.
Trust that order, and let each moment come and go like the tides.
