Mortality

A short Ma’at meditation on mortality, truth, and the discipline of right living.

Meditation XXVII 1 minute read 85 words

All who walk under the sun will one day walk into the west.
Death is as natural as sunset after day.
Do not fear it, but live so that when it comes, your heart is light.
No riches accompany you beyond the tomb; only the tale of your deeds echoes in eternity.
Let that tale be one of kindness and courage.
One who is mindful of death lives more fully – each day becomes a precious gift, not a right.
