Living Example
Understanding
A short Ma’at meditation on understanding, truth, and the discipline of right living.
Approach difference with curiosity, not judgment.
The world is wide, and Ma’at embraces many faces.
Scorn not what you do not understand.
One man eats dates, another eats figs – both are nourished.
Hold to the truth as you see it, yet allow others their path if it brings no harm.
Debate with civility; disagree without hatred.
Often, beneath differing words and customs, the same heart beats.
Find common ground where you can; where you cannot, offer respect.
Know that not everyone is your mirror – wisdom grows from that knowing.
Unity is not uniformity; Ma’at builds harmony as many stones form one pyramid.
