Trust

A short Ma’at meditation on trust, truth, and the discipline of right living.

Meditation LIV 1 minute read 101 words

Trust is a precious gift – give it wisely.
Not everyone who smiles at you is your friend.
It is good to trust in goodness, but also keep your eyes open.
A serpent may hide under the sweetest flower.
Yet a life without trust is a lonely field with no shelter.
So trust, but test; forgive, but remember.
Entrust your heart to those proven true.
Even then, know that humans are fallible and may fail you.
Place your ultimate trust in Ma’at, the eternal law of truth and balance, for it never falters.
