Words have fire; silence has light.
In a council of noise, the quiet one hears clearly.
The fool’s voice is loud, declaring his own wisdom;
the sage’s voice is soft, asking to learn.
Be swift to listen, slow to proclaim.
Like a deep well, the still heart reflects the sky,
while the agitated heart churns up only mud.
